With over 10 years of experience in the packaging manufacturing and forestry industries, Gareth Leads the Sales Team with responsibility for developing and growing sales globally. Tasked with Identifying new business opportunities with brand owners, converters, merchants and agents, while nurturing and growing existing customers with the full range of luxury packaging available at James Cropper.

Having worked in senior positions within the paper and packaging industry for over 10 years and more than double that within Sales and Business development. Gareth, always enjoyed building and leading a team, empowering his teams and giving them the skills, confidence and support to excel within their role while working towards their next.

Tell us about a typical day in your role at James Cropper:

A typical day as Head of Sales involves a mix or strategic planning, team management, client interactions, and performance analysis, along with working with colleagues in Marketing, Innovation, Technical, Planning and Production to ensure everything is in place to enable my Sales team to service our customers needs.

During your career at James Cropper, what has been your most memorable highlight?

I’ve been at James Cropper for 3 months and my current highlight is our Bruichladdich project. This project replaced traditional whiskey packaging with a moulded fibre wrap and the results were amazing. The project has also won several awards so far with more to come hopefully!

What work are you particularly proud of at James Cropper?

The history of James Cropper is something I am proud to be part of. The business dates back to 1845 and has consistently developed and produced some of the finest paper products in the World. James Cropper continues to look forward with its Technical Fibre Products division (TFP) which produces World leading, innovative non-woven and electrochemical materials.
