Jordan joined the company as an experienced and passionate senior marketer. Skilled in marketing strategy, branding and lead generation. Although new to paper manufacturing, she came into the business with a fresh perspective regarding communication, both internal and external. Establishing a new way to create and implement differing strategic approaches to how, who and where we tell our story with paper.
Having built strong relationships, created clear product narratives utilising strong visual content across multiple mediums or channels, Jordan has provided our Paper and Packaging division with clear and consistent messaging, during our current and on-going rebrand process; including the merging of Colourform into the Paper division.

Tell us about a typical day in your role at James Cropper
JS
A typical day in my role has looked very different these days due to our current and on-going rebrand. Alongside the development and employment of a communications strategy for our Paper & Packaging division, I have also been working on this website project as a group level as well as new content creation. This has meant that one day I could be working inside our CRM system and building forms and the next day be on site with a filming crew - from technical support to creative direction to launching a new product to managing a social media campaign.
Marketing communications can mean long hours, in multiple locations but networking and socialising is vital. Success is built from supporting those around you and letting them support you in return.

During your career at James Cropper, what has been your most memorable highlight?
JS
Having experienced many professionally memorable highlights within my time at James Cropper, I would say that the one element that I enjoyed working on the most must be the event-based projects. Working for months with multiple partners and stakeholders to see it all come together for one day or one event, gives a great sense of achievement. That being said, we are often working on multiple projects like this at any given time, so I am always looking to evolve and improve how we communicate/ present ourselves, forgetting to take the time to celebrate the teams’ achievements as much as I should.

What work are you particularly proud of at James Cropper?
JS
Over the last few years i have had the profound privilege to play a small role in many exciting projects and partnerships, it never ceases to amaze me how far our product reach truly is and what possibilities this opens for us. Therefore in all honesty, the work I am particularly proud of is achieving is all of it, during a tremendously difficult time for the company and my colleagues. The ability to persevere through, adapting and working towards a long-term goal together, far out-ways the feeling of achievement or pride of a singular project. It has taken me on personal journey of self progression and pushed me to evolve within different team structures.

My family (including my cats), a lifetime supply of crafting materials (how else would we create Wilson 2.0), a zombie apocalypse style survival kit (If i am going to drag my family with me, I would at least like to ensure their survival...)
