Having held a number of senior positions, Richard’s career has been focused on manufacturing and operations across sectors such as FMCG, Retail and Hospitality. He leads the James Cropper operations team with key focus on delivering world class manufacturing, driving improvement and exceeding our customer’s requirement.

Whilst the quote may religious connotations what it means to mean is stand up and be counted, get involved, don’t walk past things that are not correct, call them out, fix them. We all have a responsibility to take ownership and act and for me this quote sums that up perfectly. "

Tell us about a typical day in your role at James Cropper
RB
At the moment a typical day revolves around reacquainting myself with the business and getting to meet lots of new people. In the longer term I would expect it to be helping and supporting our teams in driving for operational excellence and world class performance whilst all the while delighting our customers.

What work are you particularly proud of at James Cropper?
RB
I can’t claim any involvement in this but seeing how the business has progressed since I left/rejoined is something I think the whole team should be rightly very proud of.
