The Mulberry Story

Published:
4 Jul 2024
Mulberry Green is the brand's signature shade and also emblematic of their commitment to social responsibility. The bespoke Mulberry Green colour was created at the mill in 2015, working jointly with G.F Smith.

Mulberry is focussed on introducing new, innovative packaging solutions to reduce their impact on our planet.

Every sheet of Mulberry Green paper now includes 20% CupCycling™ fibre from coffee cups and a further 30% from other post-consumer waste.

Our unique CupCycling™ by James Cropper story is featured on all of this packaging.

Mulberry’s heritage – and identity – is quintessentially British. Founded in 1971, in Somerset, England by Roger Saul who established the brand at his kitchen table, with £500 backing from his mother.

The first designs were buckled leather belts – soon, other accessories followed, including iconic bags and womenswear.

“ Even down to our packaging, these initiatives came from the team. CupCycling will be the paper that is used for all of our consumer facing packaging. ”
