Rydal like you've never seen it before... Introducing Tracey Escolme X Rydal Packaging Collection.

Crafting Rydal Caves within Rydal Paper

At James Cropper we have a rich heritage at the Burneside mill in Kendal, the gateway to the English Lake District, a World Heritage Site, with the mill being used for a variety of industries from grain to textiles and paper. Therefore it was a privilege to work with local artist Tracey Escolme to explore the possibilities of our Rydal collection, together creating a beautiful piece of art.

“ "This project has thoroughly inspired me. Rydal water is one of my favourite places to walk so to be asked to create a piece based on Rydal water using Rydal paper felt like a lovely project to do. I often only cut with 2 layers – usually cutting white paper and backing with black – but to showcase both the black and white paper I decided on a composition that would utilise both papers. Possibly something I may start doing in my practice, in fact there is another Rydal image that I may cut in the same way." ”
